Hackenburg photograph collection consists of photos on the military history and personnel of the area of Danville in Montour County, Pennsylvania. The collection includes images of Army, Navy, and Marine Corps officers as well as enlisted men from the Danville area taken from the Spanish-American War through World War II, with several notable additions. The collection also includes several camp scenes of a U.S. Army engineer battalion, 1902-1904; a lithographic illustration of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, published in 1865; and a set of twenty-five snapshots documenting the military governments turn-over ceremony at Neustadt on der Wein, Germany, in June 1945.
